Green Cross Training Set For UK Wide Growth After Receiving £75,000 Loan

Training company set for UK wide growth after loan will help boost marketing resources.

Green Cross Training

With over 20 years’ experience in the training industry, Green Cross Training plan to invest their £75,000 loan in marketing related activity and resources to further expand the company brand.

Green Cross Training has evolved substantially over the years and since being acquired in 2013, has grown from a small business based in Hamilton to one that now employs 23 members of staff and engages the services of over 100 qualified trainers to deliver their courses at more than 80 training sites across the UK.

Providing Health and Safety related training to an extensive number of blue chip companies, the business identified an increase in market demand for their services and set their sights firmly on further business growth and development.

With a detailed strategy in place, Ken Wilson, Director of Green Cross Training, sought funding to support the business through this growth period and applied for a loan from Business Loans Scotland.

Supporting small and medium sized businesses across Scotland with loans to start-up or grow, Business Loans Scotland (BLS) offer loans from £25,000 to £100,000 to ensure that commercially viable proposals do not fail from a lack of access to finance.

Fully funded through the Scottish Growth Scheme and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), BLS has issued loans to 45 businesses across Scotland totalling in excess of £2.9 million.

Receiving a £75,000 loan as part of a larger funding package, Mr Wilson said:

“The loan has most definitely assisted our business with finance to achieve our growth aspirations and we would strongly recommend for any business to apply for a loan through BLS. The loan application process was very straightforward and the loan terms offered are financially very attractive.”

Andrew Dickson, Fund Manager of Business Loans Scotland added:

“I am delighted that Business Loans Scotland has been able to support Green Cross Training with a £75,000 loan which will support their funding gap. This is a prime example of a Scottish business which has fantastic growth aspirations and with the help of a business loan has been able to implement these plans timeously. I look forward to watching the business flourish and to seeing many more companies turn to Green Cross Training for all their health and safety training needs.”
