Fund Manager
Andrew is the Fund Manager of Business Loans Scotland, responsible for the day to day operations and is passionate about helping Scotland’ businesses start up and grow.
The lack of access to finance remains a key barrier preventing many SMEs realise their plans and aspirations and through the work of the Fund, many small and medium sized businesses have been helped to realise their ambitions.
Andrew has worked in both the private and public sectors initially in food manufacturing after graduating with an Honours degree in Business Studies from Glasgow Caledonian University. Away from work, Andrew is a keen and competitive golfer and when not playing golf can be found playing his new passion, Bridge of which he has still much to learn.
Loan Officer
After a career of more than 30 years in mainstream banking Mark joined the West of Scotland Loan Fund in 2012. Mark brings a wealth of commercial banking experience to the Fund and is now responsible for conducting appraisals on behalf of BLS thus ensuring that SMEs with a good business idea receive the help & support they require to allow the business to grow & thrive.
Out of the office Mark is a keen sports enthusiast with a particular interest in watching football & playing golf.
Loan Officer
Donna is a Loan Fund Officer and is responsible for supporting businesses who approach BLS for funding.
After 25 years in the banking sector where she gained experience working with businesses across many sectors she developed a keen interest in economic development and went on to obtain a Post Graduate Diploma in the subject from Glasgow University.
Donna spends much of her spare time walking her 2 Golden Retrievers. She also enjoys reading, listening to music and cooking as well as socialising with friends and family.
Loan Appraisal & Debt Management Officer
Jason is the Loan Appraisal & Debt Management Officer for Business Loan Scotland. Prior to joining, Jason ran his own business assisting SMEs with obtaining finance for 5 years. He also has over 13 years’ experience in mainstream banking managing a portfolio of SMEs and providing funding solutions to SMEs.
Jason holds a BA in Business Economics and is responsible for supporting businesses that seek funding from BLS whilst also assisting with management of the current loan book.
Away from work Jason enjoys spending time with his kids, plays 5-a-side football & watching football.
Finance & Administrative Manager
Anne is the Finance & Administrative Manager for Business Loans Scotland. Before transferring to BLS, Anne joined West of Scotland Loan Fund from the Private Sector in 2008 and is responsible for the management, administration and financial reporting functions of the Fund including other funds in the East and South of Scotland.
Anne has substantial technical knowledge and management expertise gained within Banking, Investment Management and Public Sector Industries. In addition to working in Scotland, Anne has also worked in London and Overseas, and has a Diploma in Management through the Institute of Leadership & Management.
In her spare time Anne is also a qualified Holistic Therapist and enjoys yoga, has an active social life as well as going to lots of concerts and travelling the world!

Loan Assistant
Rachel is the Loan Assistant for Business Loans Scotland and joined the Fund in 2009. Rachel has been involved in previous funds delivered through West of Scotland Loan Fund and East of Scotland Investment Fund.
Rachel is the first point of contact for customers, providing information on loan accounts and is responsible for all loan repayments including Direct Debit collections. Rachel also provides administrative support to all staff within the Fund.
In her spare time Rachel enjoys yoga, catching up with friends and trying out a new afternoon tea. She loves her holidays, especially to America where she got married in 2018. Rachel also has a love for animals and has her hands full with two mischievous house rabbits.
Marketing & Events Officer
Natalie is the Marketing and Events Officer for Business Loans Scotland. Prior to transferring to BLS, Natalie graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) Business degree where she then specialised in Marketing and gained experience working in roles across various industries within the private sector.
Natalie is responsible for all marketing and communications activity for BLS including creating and managing content for the company website and social platforms, advertising and public relations, media enquiries and attending events and exhibitions to grow awareness of the BLS brand.
In her spare time Natalie is a busy mum who spends most of her time running around after her toddler. She also enjoys going to the gym to keep fit and socialising with friends and family.
