Linnfox plan to add 2 new lodges and 1 bothy to their site in Arrochar to expand their offering to customers.
Operating 3 holiday properties from the picturesque village of Arrochar, Linnfox Ltd provides customers with high quality accommodation situated in an idyllic location for those looking to explore nearby Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.
With a portfolio of 2 lodges and 1 cottage available for hire, Linnfox began trading in early 2022 and since its inception has been thriving due to the increasing demand of the staycation market.
In order to meet this demand, Director of Linnfox Lisa Tennant sought funding to introduce 2 additional lodges and 1 bothy to the site and after submitting an application, successfully received £100,000 from Business Loans Scotland (BLS) to begin development works.
Led by a consortium of Scotland's local authorities, BLS can offer loans from £25,000 up to £250,000 to new and established businesses throughout Scotland. By giving businesses access to an invaluable new source of funding, these loans may be used flexibly for several purposes, including but not limited to, working capital, the purchase of plant or equipment, investing in business property and expanding into new markets.
Fully funded by the Scottish Government, BLS aims to give businesses access to funding that will support their growth and expansion plans. Whilst securing finance can be a major hurdle, particularly for small and medium sized businesses, this Fund will give businesses the opportunity to secure the finance required to realise their ambitions.
Speaking of the loan issued, Director of Linnfox Ltd, Lisa Tennant said:
"The loan from BLS has given us the chance to grow the business more quickly than we otherwise could. The process was really straightforward and our business advisor was super helpful."
Fund Manager for Business Loans Scotland, Andrew Dickson added:
“This is an exciting time for Linnfox Ltd and I am delighted that the loan of £100,000 will help towards developing the site and enhance the company’s product offering. Many SMEs can experience a funding gap and so being able to provide the essential finance to allow Scottish businesses to flourish is what we strive to do. I look forward to watching the business prosper and to seeing those seeking to explore nearby Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park turn to Linnfox Ltd for their accommodation needs.”
